So this chapter bugged me: specifically the aspect where the exception was added in a reduced font to obfuscate its presence and (presumably) reduce its use except by a select "in the know" group (who I imagine had a hand in drafting/codifying the exception). I did a very surface level search at this juncture to affirm my initial assumptions based on my knowledge, but will follow up if I hit on any contrary examples. From a logical standpoint, obfuscating a line by changing the font to a redu

Not surprised to see the same summary as on the old site. I previously wrote an alternative one so I will repost my old comment: «Better than the delirious meth fueled ramblings of a description would suggest. If you require something intelligible (while trying to stay within the structure of what

He would still need to learn how to use other weapons. He likely would not be as proficient as he is at archery.

As no one else has mentioned it yet, this chapter also shows how Sullivan helped Iruma communicate, how he negotiated with Iruma's parents, and (potentially) another manner by which Henri could learn Iruma's identity.

Because just because you can do something does not mean you should? Because acting like a tyrant would be contrary to Rimuru aims in maintaining diplomatic and cordial terms with Tempest's neighbors and potential alliance partners? Because if violence is the outcome of this interaction (which is not inherently necessary and realistically not the strategic action), there is another aggrieved party that could carry it out in a limited capacity?

you: “I gave it a chance, but chapter 7 is a hard no to me. Participating in the slave trade should be a red line for any protagonist in this day and age. If someone asks, "We're short staffed, should we head to the slavers and see what's available?" and the answer is not "Who are you and by what nefarious contrivance did you find your way into my home?" then something is wrong with you. Also, it is not a strong argument to say, "They're an antihero! Your morals don't apply!" If they are an antihero have them rob the slavers and set everyone free or maneuver the bureaucracy to financially ruin the industry thus rendering the business model untenable. It is not "edgy" or "realistic" to have them engage in the slave trade, just awful.” (1 likes) [view]

you: “The SBS for this chapter reveals how Oda does not understand the meaning of the word "soon", as that character will not be met for another 600 chapters, that is to say a period longer than One Piece's entire run at this point. Soon. Soon we will have flying cars. Soon there will be a new sea betwixt the African plates as they pull apart and the Indian ocean rushes in. Soon the sun will expand and fully atomize the charred remains of our planet.” (1 likes) [view]

you: “Seriously, that luggage is so out of step with the series aesthetically and technologically. Why would a luxury item be designed like that in a world where the privileged would have servants and private carriages? Setting aside the build of the handle (which would be challenging for an artisan to build so regularly and at scale), that design only works when pulled across smooth surfaces and the appeal of its utility in lessening the burdens of the person totting it would not be among the concerns of those purchasing luxury goods. Plus, a simple (if fancy) chest would have been so much easier to draw!” (1 likes) [view]
